Moving is no fun

I haven't had a lot of time to blog lately. I've been very busy. You see, I'm moving in 7 days. Therefore, the last week should have been spent packing and attending to final details. I have done a small amount of that, but really, I've been too busy to do too much. I couldn't really tell you what it is that I have been so busy doing. I do know, though, that I'm exhausted from it. Procrastination is HARD work! It really takes some effort to *not* do as much as I don't do. I've greatly enjoyed this exhausting week, but I now find that my time is running a wee bit short. My plan is to complete my packing today and tomorrow, leaving Monday open for Cooper day and the rest of the week open for final details. As you can see, I am hard at work attaining that goal. I'm sorry I won't be able to write more. Unfortunately, I have some...um...scrapbooking that needs tending to.

Pictures posted!

I have been furvently packing up all of my things, and Amy and I are really starting to talk and get ready for our big move. I remembered that we did have a few pictures of the place from when the owner first contacted us with information. So...those are posted here. After seeing the pictures, we were both a little nervous that the place would be pretty small, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that it is actually much larger than the pictures portray. I can't wait to put out pictures of the rest of it! The back yard is one of the things we're most excited about. It has a patio area, then a perfect tidy little fenced in yard with one big tree in the middle for shade. It's perfect! Inky is sure going to love that little back yard. And so are we!

Mondays with Aunt Lolo

Since I don't work on Mondays, I usually try to spend them with one of the coolest guys I know...my nephew Cooper! We usually try to find something fun to do on our days together, and today was no exception. Today we got together with one of my former co-workers, Lori Fox. She has a little girl, Sarah, who is now about 10 months old. Cooper and Sarah enjoy playing together, and Lori and I enjoy getting to spend time together as well, so this makes for some great Mondays! Lori's neighborhood has a pool, so last Monday and today, we made a little visit there to try to beat the oppressive heat. Since it's a pain to post pictures to this site, I am just going to link to my photos on my Flickr account so that you can see all the fun we had today. Today's photos can be found here.

Enjoy!!

Which is Worse?

So I've now come to a great question in life? Which is worse? Being homeless, or having to pack and move your stuff? The great thing is that we found a home!! All of our searching and frustration finally paid off when we found the perfect home for us! Where did we find it? On www.louisvillemojo.com, of course. I can hear you now. You're asking, "But where IS the house? What does it LOOK like? When are you moving?" Slow down, and read on... We found an absolutely adorable 3 bedroom (or in our case, 2 BR, 1 study) shotgun camelback house in the deep highlands area of Irish Hill. For those of you stuck in Western KY, think artsy Lowertown/downtown Paducah type area. It fits us well! I hope to have pictures up soon, but that will require both my taking the pictures, and my figuring out how to post pictures here. "Soon" is a relative term. We are planning on moving July 1-3, then having a backyard BBQ on July 4.
Just so everyone knows, my mom has been gracious enough to volunteer to come up and help me move and do whatever needs done. Dad, however, refuses. Apparently, he is sending his love and some money for a housewarming gift. The sad thing is that I don't blame him one bit. I don't want to move me, either. If you're reading this, you're welcome to come to our backyard BBQ on the 4th of July. You're also welcome to help us move!
