Today

Today, I found this toy in the hall, where Clay has banished it, even knowing that it's a bath toy.
Apparently, today, Clay found his breaking point in tolerating this toy randomly starting to talk and sing to him during his shower.
Today, Lila wore a very "Lila" out fit. With striped bum tights that have built in shoes. Today, I put real shoes over Lila's "faux" shoes.
Today, Lila took off her real shoes at least 6-8 times. That I know of.
Today, Lila also wore this awesome dress, that's monogrammed with a pretty pink "L".
Today, that "L" stands for LILA. A couple of days ago, though, when I found the dress in a consignment store for only $4, the "L" probably stood for another name.

Today, Lila ate a mountain of blueberries for breakfast.
Today, Lila ate a mountain of blueberries for afternoon snack.
Today, Lila smeared blueberries, green beans, mac and cheese, biscuit, pinto beans, broccoli casserole, and peaches in her hair.
Today, Lila is having a bad hair day.
Today, Lila walked into her classroom holding my hand, saw her friends, and immediately dropped my hand and said, "HI!!" to her friends, then toddled off to join them.
Today, a tiny little thread of that apron string frayed a bit, along with one of her Mommy's heartstrings.

Tomorrow, Lila will have blue poo. And her Mommy will be SO proud of that wild haired, tights wearing, blueberry eating, independent little girl!

Poor Clay can blame that dirty dog pirate for giving Lila that obnoxious tub toy. I'm just glad it wasn't me! And Miss Lila looked adorable in her new outfit. Of course, she'd make ANYTHING look good, but it really is cute. I can't believe how much she's changed just since Christmas. Take her back to the baby room! She's growing up way too fast in her new toddler room.

We happen to have one of those little toys that speak with a British accent as well. You push it and it screams "Too Fast!" and random moments throughout the day. I sense Clay's frustration.
